It is an undergraduate full time 3 year course designed to cater to the growing needs of management professionals for Banking and Financial Services industry. The objective of this course is to prepare students to think critically and finding new ways to improve the banking and finance industry.

Students learn to communicate effectively on all levels and acquire leadership skills in the banking and finance industry to become an initiator of change by making complex and difficult decisions using modern finance, marketing and management analysis methods. This course is spread over 6 semesters and compulsory Summer Internship Programme (SIP) at the end of the second year. Each semester under this course makes sure that you are progressing step by step to meet the opportunities offered and face the challenges of dynamic field of Banking and finance.

Programme Objectives

  • To enable the Student to write well organized and grammatically correct business reports and letters. Facilitate the students to make effective oral presentations

  • To demonstrate critical thinking skills by understanding the issues with a strong focus on banking and financial services, evaluating alternatives on the basis of multiple perspectives and presenting a solution including conclusions and implications

  • To illustrate the role of responsible leadership in management. To identify social concerns and ethical issues in management. To identify challenges faced by banks and financial institutions in the global business environment.

  • To take decisions in the global business environment with special focus on banking and financial institutions. Prepare students to appraise the structure and operations of banking system

  • Equip the students to evaluate environmental factors that influence business operation with the conceptual requirements and skills on preparation and interpretation of financial statements

  • Prepare the students for an in depth analysis of investment, portfolio management, investment banking and liquidation of investments

  • Develop competency in the students about the laws and regulations, and roles of commercial, government and central banks in controlling money market and inflation

  • Train the students on teamwork, lifelong learning and continuous professional development. To lay down the foundation for further study or professional employment

After successful completion of the course, student can opt for further education like M.com, MBA (Masters in Business Administration), CA(Chartered Accountant),CS (Company Secretary),ICWA (Cost Accountant), CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst),FRM (Financial Risk Management), CPA( Certified Public Accountant) CFP (Certified Financial Planner), After completing this course, candidates may work in areas like:
