The Postgraduate Diploma in Polyurethane Technology is a work-integrated, flexitime, one-year programme, conducted in evening hours, weekends and holidays to enable working professionals to participate. The course curriculum is designed and executed in collaboration with the Indian Polyurethane Association (IPUA), with lectures from industry experts on many of the specialized topics, in physical or virtual modes.
The programme is designed to be a balance of classroom teaching along with hands-on training in the area of polyurethane processing, applications and product design in sophisticated laboratories. The students will be offered 6-8 weeks of internship in a well-recognized polyurethane industry to sharpen their learning in real-world scenarios. Those completing the course can bank their credits and choose to convert this degree into a Master’s degree from Somaiya Vidyavihar University with one year of additional learning.
