Through collaborations with International Universities, we aspire to explore mutually beneficial opportunities for academic connections like Faculty and Student Exchange Programs, Joint Research and Publications, Study abroad in India Programs, Immersive Programs.
Somaiya Vidyavihar has academic collaboration with leading universities in USA, Europe, Asia and Africa for working together to promote Academics, Research, and Experiential Learning beyond the scope of an individual university.
International Semester Exchange Programme
International Semester Exchange Programme is a programme that enables our students to study abroad for a Semester while pursuing a UG or PG programme at S K Somaiya College. Our students can opt to study at one of the Foreign Partner University/ Institute with whom Somaiya Vidyavihar University has a collaboration. The course credits earned during the period of study abroad are transferred to the programme in which the student is studying at S K Somaiya College.
Eligibility Criteria
Second Year undergraduate students and all postgraduate students of S K Somaiya College. Guidance is to be sought from the programme coordinator while selecting the courses offered by the International Partner University.

I was always very eager to go to foreign lands, far from India, to see the place and experience the food and culture there. It was my dream to go all alone, to stay and study in a totally different and diverse country, and to experience what I had been reading in books and newspapers. When such an opportunity came up from S K Somaiya College, I just grabbed it.My first week in DBHW was absolute fun where there were lot of activities along with studies.We were taught German language with so many fun filled activities (like city treasure hunts where all clues were in basic German language), that I enjoyed studying in an informal setup with an outside class atmosphere.
I met students from 19 different countries with varied backgrounds. The teachers were extremely helpful, very polite and as interested in countries where we had come from, as much as we were interested in knowing more about Germany.To study a subject from a totally different point of view, makes me more analytical and understanding of a different perspective altogether. It is nothing short of a dream come true for me, thanks to S K Somaiya College and their wonderful faculty.
