Provisional Admission has started from 26th March 2021 for undergraduate programmes. Provisional admission for postgraduate programmes will commence soon.
This year there will be no entrance test but from next academic year it will be applicable for certain programmes.
Yes. Foreign Nationals/ NRIs also can apply for any programmes of the college.

A student pursuing a major degree in any program can pursue a minor degree of 20 credits that compliments the major. For example a student pursuing a major bachelor degree in Accounting and Finance can do a Minor in Computer Science.
Yes. Hostel accommodation is on a first come first serve basis and will be charged separately as per Somaiya Vidyavihar University norms.
The University follows a semester system pattern-Choice Based Credit System which is globally accepted. The students have to earn credits over the span of Programmes which are disclosed in the Final Marksheet as their Semester Grade Point Average (SGPA) as well as Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA).
An honours degree typically refers to a higher level of academic achievement at an undergraduate level. Bachelor - Honours is awarded on completion of 148 credits while Bachelor- Regular is awarded on completion of 132 credits. However, SVU offers BSc (Hons.) courses. This ensures better experiential learning.
Attendance requirement is as per UGC guidelines, minimum 75% required in the academic term
Yes, the students need to register with the Placement Cell and will have access to specialisation wise job placement by assisting in their placement preparations, mock interview etc.

Yes. There is a facility of Provisional admissions for all programmes of S.K. Somaiya College.
Yes, you can begin your application process before you get your final result. You can apply for provisional admission based on your 10 th , 11 th exams. If selected (on meritorious basis) and on completion of the provisional admission your final admission will be based on your Board exam scores. You need to submit your scores for the qualifying examination on or before the date displayed on website.
Yes, you can begin your application process before you get your final result. You can apply for provisional admission based on your undergraduate results of Semesters 1 to 5. If selected (on meritorious basis) and on completion of the provisional admission your final admission will be based on your scores after final semester 6 examination result declaration and the admission thereafter based on merit. You need to submit your scores for the qualifying examination on or before the deadline displayed on website.

Yes. You have to pay separate provisional fees for different programmes of the college.
One program - one form, so you have to fill up separate forms for different programmes for provisional admissions.

Yes. You will be eligible for entrance exams for academic continuation in India [such as JNU CEEB Combined Biotechnology Entrance Exam, ICAR AIEEA, IIT JAM, AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences) M.Sc Biotechnology Entrance, TIFR Graduate School Admissions Exam and the likes] and abroad [such as GRE, IELTS, TOEFL and the likes].
Yes. You will be eligible for entrance exams for JRFship/PhD/Lectureship such as CSIR-NET, ICMR-JRF, SET, ICAR’s AICE-JRF/SRF and the likes as well as for entrance exams such as GRE, GMAT, IELTS, TOEFL, SAT, ACT and the likes
Diploma students are permitted Lateral entry in the second year of these courses. It means that the diploma student is directly admitted to the second year of these courses. The admission procedures for the same will be notified on website when applicable.
