Master of Arts (International Studies)

MA (International Studies) is designed as a two-year full-time programme with four semesters. Studying a Master's in International Studies is great scholarly way to gain deeper understanding of global issues like global institutions and governance, trade, investment, diplomacy, human rights, international business, nuclear policy, cross-border culture, and foreign policy.

India in last two decades has been giving more emphasis to strengthen its international relations. Global engagement in climate change policy, QUAD, Indo-Pacific Strategy, G-20, BRICS, etc. are some examples towards this policy initiative. Academic and research in International Studies area may help to develop global scholarship with broader analytical mind, enhance understanding about regional and global developments. International Studies is also given importance in India’s increasing engagement with international economic, diplomatic orders, and soft power development.

 

MA (International Studies) is mentored by a renowned former career diplomat and Ambassador of the Indian Foreign Service and has a unique blend of courses designed by experts and conducted by senior faculty members. There is a scope for acquiring micro-credentials (additional certificate along with the programme) from India or abroad. Upon successful completion of this programme, the students will be upskilled to take up contemporary and challenging roles in government as well as in private sectors.

Programme Objectives

  • Provide theoretical approach to postgraduate students to appreciate complexity of international relations and build intellectual slicks to analyse global affairs.
