Dimensionality reduction, Feature Extraction & Feature Selection are the terms important in the concept of data mining when someone has to reduce the size of high dimensional data. Our main motto of this research is to find an applicable methodology that will reduce the ever increasingly volume of data . In this paper we describe about various feature extraction & feature selection methods & proposes an scheme which will able to select a subset of original features based on some evaluation criteria & able to reduce the volume of high dimensional dataset.
