M.Sc. Chemical Biology and Drug Design programme provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the scheme of drug-drug target identification. An understanding of the chemical basis of drug identification and action gives students the ability to answer rationally the “why” and “how” of drug action, and to modulate the activity by fine tuning various attributes of the drugs.
Along with study of modern analytical and drug identification tools, the programme is focused on patho-physiology of various diseases so that new drug targets can be identified. By imparting an exclusive knowledge base, this programme will play a vital role in providing critical thinking and evidence-based problem-solving skills to students, enabling them to make optimal decisions in the healthcare area. The laboratory and e-learning exercises are designed to provide a hands-on context for the topics being presented in the syllabus.
